Workforce Safety Stand Down Impacting Service Through October

SEPTA is advising riders to expect delays across the system (bus, trolley, Regional Rail, BSL, MFL, NHSL) starting Monday, August 14 as the Authority begins mandatory safety reinforcement training for all employees. As of Friday, September 22, over 5,800 employees have completed the safety training.

The training will emphasize safety guidelines that are in place and provide employees with a forum to give feedback. SEPTA is working jointly with the unions representing employees to develop the content that will be covered in the trainings.

Over the next eight weeks, every member of the SEPTA workforce will spend a full day in this mandatory training. This will impact 10% of daily service on all modes as employees are pulled from their regular duties. SEPTA will continually provide updates on service impacts as the training moves forward. Please continue to check System Alerts for impacts to specific routes and lines.
