Over the years, many professional groups, schools, rail clubs and other organizations have expressed an interest in learning about the vast multi-modal system SEPTA operates in southeastern Pennsylvania. We appreciate this interest and can provide tours of our Customer Service Call Center, Lobby and Store. Brief presentations on various transportation-related topics are available as well.
SEPTA tours are held in the morning or afternoon, for the duration of one to four hours (includes presentation). PowerPoint presentations, offered by knowledgeable SEPTA employees, are also available on the following topics:
- SEPTA Careers
- SEPTA History
- SEPTA Fare Technology
- Safety on SEPTA
Tours are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month, and on occasional Saturdays (by request only)
The SEPTA PCC Trolley
Located in the Concourse Level of the SEPTA Building, 1234 Market Street, is a self-guided, hands-on, fun attraction for visitors, families, and school groups with small children. Appointments are not necessary to tour the trolley, but please let us know in advance if you’re planning on bringing a large group.
Before you leave, view the photo display in the main lobby of 1234 Market Street and visit the Transit Gift Store (Lobby Level) for train related toys, books, and SEPTA merchandise.
