Crum Creek Viaduct Replacement Project Enters Final Weekend of Construction

Crews Work to Prepare for Return of Media/Elwyn Regional Rail Line Service to all Stations on Monday, Sept. 5

Shuttle buses will replace all train service at Elwyn, Media, Moylan-Rose Valley, Wallingford, Swarthmore and Morton Stations along SEPTA’s
Media/Elwyn Regional Rail Line on Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4. This is to accommodate crews preparing for the return of Regional Rail service to all of SEPTA’s Media/Elwyn
Line stations on Monday, September 5, following the completion of the Crum Creek Viaduct Replacement Project.

Customers should check timetables as shuttle bus departure and arrival times have been revised.

Changes are as follows:

September 3-4

Passengers traveling inbound toward Center City from Elwyn Station will board shuttle buses earlier than scheduled train times. After departing from Elwyn Station, the buses will make stops at Media, Moylan-Rose Valley, Wallingford and Swarthmore Stations before arriving at Morton Station where passengers will transfer to trains to complete their inbound trips. Trains will depart from Morton Station at regularly scheduled times.

Trains will depart from Center City Stations at regularly scheduled times and will travel as far as Morton Station where customers will transfer to shuttle buses. The buses will depart from Morton Station five minutes later than regularly scheduled trains and will make stops at Swarthmore, Wallingford, Moylan-Rose Valley, Media and Elwyn Stations.

Monday, September 5

Train service will be restored to and from all Media/Elwyn Line stations. Please note: Due to the Labor Day holiday, trains will operate on a Sunday schedule. Printed versions of the special schedules for September 3 and 4 are posted at stations. Posted signage will direct passengers to shuttle bus boarding locations.
