Inbound Service Adjustments Planned on SEPTA’s Wilmington/Newark Regional Rail Line For Amtrak Construction Project

Service Adjustments to Affect Inbound Weekday and Weekend Schedules

Due to an Amtrak concrete tie replacement project, SEPTA will adjust the Wilmington/Newark Regional Rail Line timetable to accommodate work crews and to maintain service levels to and from Center City. These service adjustments will be in effect for the entire service day from March 2 through March 22, 2019.

Customers should refer to the special weekend and weekday schedule for the revised train times. The supplemental schedule is available for download at: https://www.septa.org/alert/wil.html.

Weekday service restrictions will be in effect Mondays through Fridays from March 4 – 22, 2019. While these service adjustments are in effect, select inbound trains will operate earlier or later than regularly scheduled.

Weekend service adjustments will be in effect on Saturdays and Sundays, March 2-3, 9-10 and 16-17, 2019. During these weekends, select trains traveling inbound to Center City will operate earlier than regularly scheduled.

Amtrak construction is subject to change and may include additional changes to service and boarding locations. At the completion of this project, SEPTA’s Wilmington/Newark Regional Rail Line will return to the schedule with the December 16, 2018 effective date.
