Annual Tradition Continues with Free Ride from NRG Station on Special ‘Santa Express’ Train

The SEPTA Santa Express – powered by Penn Medicine – returns for its 31st year to kick off the holiday season in Center City, Philadelphia, on Friday, November 25.

“SEPTA is excited to kick off the holiday season with the Santa Express,” said SEPTA CEO and General Manager Leslie S. Richards. “We are honored to be part of this cherished tradition and thrilled to welcome families and all riders who want to be part of it.”

Join SEPTA and Center City District for a fun-filled holiday train ride from NRG Station on the Broad Street Line to City Hall Station, followed by a festive parade to welcome Santa Claus to Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink at Dilworth Park. Stay and skate with Santa and shop for gifts at the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market.

The SEPTA Santa Express will be specially decorated for the occasion, and helpers will be at NRG Station to hand out special 2022 SEPTA Santa Express bags, buttons, and more.
