SEPTA Key Expands to Regional Rail Zone 3 Stations in October

Monthly & Weekly TrailPasses Available on SEPTA Key Cards for 'Early Adopters' Program

The SEPTA Key “Early Adopters” Program on Regional Rail will expand in October to include all Zone 3 stations. This follows the August launch of SEPTA Key on Regional Rail for Zone 4 customers.

Key Cards loaded with Monthly TrailPasses will be available for purchase at SEPTA sales offices starting Thursday, Sept. 20, and can be used for travel beginning Monday, Oct. 1. Weekly TrailPasses for the week starting Monday, Oct. 1 can be purchased beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

The SEPTA Key Mobile Fare Kiosk will also make stops at Zone 3 stations, giving customers another option for purchasing a TrailPass on a Key Card. For more information about the SEPTA Key Mobile Fare Kiosk, visit https://www.septa.org/key/updates/rail-early-adopter-purchase.html.

SEPTA reminds customers to register their Key Cards as soon as they make a purchase to protect against loss or theft. Cards can be registered online at https://www.septakey.org or by calling the SEPTA Key Customer Service Center at (855) 567-3782. Monthly and Weekly TrailPass customers can also set up auto-load for new pass purchases every week or month online or over the phone.

Travel Wallet and other Regional Rail fare products will not be available on SEPTA Key Cards during this phase. All existing fare instruments, including magnetic stripe passes and paper tickets, will remain available for purchase and use on Regional Rail until further notice.
