SEPTA is giving runners a head start on this year’s Blue Cross Broad Street Run with free rides before and after the race until 12 pm. For registered participants.

The 41st annual 10-mile race will take place on Sunday, October 10 at 8 am – drawing more than 40,000 participants from all over the world.

Runners can ride the Broad Street Line at no charge by showing their official competitor’s race bib to a SEPTA cashier.

Ten additional Express Broad Street Line trains will operate every ten minutes prior to the race, departing NRG Station beginning at 4:10 am, with stops at Olney Transportation Center and Fern Rock Transportation Center.

The Broad Street Line is a convenient way to get to the starting line at the Central High School athletic field, located between Olney Transportation Center and Logan Station.

Runners coming from outside the city can park at the stadium complex at Broad Street and Pattison Avenue for free before taking the Broad Street Line at NRG Station, or take Regional Rail to Suburban Station before taking the Broad Street Line at City Hall Station.

Several SEPTA bus routes will operate on a temporary detour (https://www.septa.org/events/broad-street-run.html) on and around Broad Street before and after the event. Riders should allow for extra time to complete their trips.
