SEPTA Schedules Set For Christmas Eve, Christmas Day

Bus, trolley and subway routes as well as Regional Rail lines will operate on weekday schedules on Christmas Eve (Thursday, December 24). On Christmas Day (Friday, December 25), all SEPTA services will operate on Sunday or special schedules.

Christmas Eve (Thursday, December 24)

On Christmas Eve, most SEPTA services will operate on regular weekday schedules. City Transit Division bus routes, however, will operate on a slightly modified weekday schedule.

Christmas Day (Friday, December 25)

On Christmas Day, SEPTA bus, trolley and subway routes will operate on a Sunday schedule. Bus Routes 93, 94, 96, 97, 98, 99, 104, 105, 110, 113, 114, 115, 117, 119, 124, and 125 will operate on special Christmas Day schedules as indicated in current public timetables; this information is also posted on www.septa.org. Bus Routes 120, 123, 129, 130 and 132 will not operate.

SEPTA Regional Rail service will operate on a special holiday (reduced Sunday) schedule with rail lines providing service about every two hours with the exceptions of the Airport (R1) Line which will operate every half hour, Trenton (R7) which will provide hourly service, and Media/Elwyn (R3) and Fox Chase (R8) which will run about every three hours. Service will not operate on the Cynwyd (R6) line.

Ticket offices at outlying Regional Rail stations will be closed. The ticket offices at Market East Station, Suburban Station and 30th Street Station will be opened from 6:45 a.m. until 4:30 pm

Riders can also call the SEPTA Customer Service Department at (215) 580-7800 for schedule information. The Customer Service Department will maintain regular hours with “live” information agents on duty from 6 am to 8 pm. On weekdays and 8 am to 6 pm. On weekends, throughout the holiday season with the exception of Christmas Day when it will be open from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The STAR pre-recorded information system provides callers with schedule information 24 hours a day.
