Session Will Focus on Opportunities in Transportation in Post-COVID Business Environment

In conjunction with the City of Philadelphia’s 37th annual Philadelphia Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week, SEPTA’s Procurement, Supply Chain, and DBE Division is hosting a virtual business workshop.

“Opportunities in Transportation” will take place on Tuesday, October 5 from 12 to 1:30 pm

The session will feature representatives from SEPTA, the Port of Philadelphia, and the Enterprise Center’s Small Business Transportation Resource Center.

Topics will include:

  • How the COVID-19 pandemic has affected business
  • How small and diverse businesses can position themselves for success
  • Upcoming projects and contract opportunities

“SEPTA shares the City’s goal of achieving an equitable and inclusive recovery,” said SEPTA General Manager and CEO Leslie S. Richards. “We are committed to promoting business opportunities for local, small, disadvantaged, minority and women-owned companies.”

Every year, MED Week highlights minority businesses and the resources that help them grow. Throughout the week, organizations from across the region will host events focused around this year’s theme, “Unmute Your Opportunities”.
