SEPTA To Offer Extra Service for NCAA Tournament Games This Weekend

Broad Street Line is a Slam Dunk for Easy and Convenient Service to the Wells Fargo Center

The Broad Street Line is the absolute best bet to the NCAA Basketball Tournament games this weekend at the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia offering quick service and unbeatable convenience.

SEPTA will have a full court press with additional trains to supplement regular service on the Broad Street Line. Trains will be held each night until the end of the event, beyond scheduled times as necessary.

For the Sweet 16 round on Friday, March 25 service will run every seven minutes or less with three additional Local trains to be added starting at 6:08 p.m.; 6:18 p.m.; and 6:28 pm

With the Elite 8 match-up at 6 pm. On Sunday, March 27 three additional Local trains will be added beginning at 4:52 p.m.; 5:02 p.m.; and 5:12 pm. This supplements regularly scheduled service.

The Broad Street Line provides convenient connections to other services. There is a free transfer to the Broad Street Line from the Market-Frankford Line and City Trolley routes at 15th Street/City Hall, and it is just a short walk from Regional Rail stations in Center City. It also connects to bus routes that provide service throughout the city and region, and it’s easily accessible from the PATCO High Speed Line for riders from South Jersey.

To speed their trips SEPTA riders are encouraged to load funds on a SEPTA Key Card before game day. For those without a Key Card, Quick Trip tickets can be purchased at all station kiosks. For more information about the SEPTA Key, visit  www.septa.org/key.
