Thanks to a partnership with Chase, SEPTA will offer sports fans free rides home from NRG Station on the Broad Street Line after the Eagles-Redskins Game on Monday, Dec. 3. The Broad Street Line serves Lincoln Financial Field and other venues at the Sports and Entertainment Complex in South Philadelphia.
Free rides from NRG Station will begin at 9 p.m. and end at 1 a.m. The free-ride-home program is aimed at offering a safe and convenient post-game travel option for fans. Kickoff at the Linc is 8:15 p.m. Please note: Regular fares will apply for all Broad Street Line travel to the game.
“In a few weeks Chase will open its doors on the streets of Philadelphia, and this free night of travel is just one way for us to give back and say thank you for welcoming us to the community,” said Michele Newman-Lawrence, Chase Region Director.
SEPTA will add service for the game. A total of 12 Sports Express trains will be added on the Broad Street Line to supplement regularly scheduled service. Sports Express service will run every 10 minutes starting at 6:05 p.m. Fans will also find Local and Express trains waiting for them at NRG Station after the game.
The Broad Street Line provides convenient service to Eagles games and other big events for riders throughout the region. There is a free transfer to the Broad Street Line from the Market-Frankford Line and City Trolley routes at 15th Street/City Hall, and it is just a short walk from Regional Rail stations in Center City. The Broad Street Line also connects to bus routes that provide service throughout the city and region, and it is easily accessible from the PATCO High Speed Line for riders from South Jersey.
To speed their trips to the game, SEPTA riders are encouraged to load funds on a SEPTA Key card before their travel, or purchase a one-way Quick Trip ticket for travel to NRG Station. For more information about the SEPTA Key, visit www.septa.org/key.
