SEPTA is reminding music fans attending this weekend’s Made In America concert that public transit is the easiest way to get to and from the venue on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
Broad Street and Market-Frankford Subway Lines
The best resources for travel to-and-from the concert are SEPTA’s subways, the Broad Street Line (BSL) and the Market-Frankford Line (MFL). These lines are easily accessible for riders throughout the region, with stops located just a short walking distance from the concert site. Service on the BSL and MFL Lines will operate on regular Saturday/Sunday schedules, with extra trains added for the festival. Subway service will run all night on Friday into Saturday, and Saturday into Sunday.
Subway Surface Trolley Service
SEPTA’s Center City trolley tunnel, which normally closes on Sunday evenings, will remain open to accommodate passengers on the Route 10, 11, 13, 34 and 36 trolleys.
Trains will run on regular weekend schedules, with most lines operating hourly. SEPTA will add or extend several trains on Saturday and Sunday to support the break of the festival. Late night service will be available on most Regional Rail Lines following the Festival, with trains departing from Jefferson, Suburban, and 30th Street Stations on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, Sept. 1. Due to road closures, Bus Routes 7, 32, 33, 38, 43, 48 and 49 will be re-routed around the Parkway for concert set-up, the concert and clean-up.
- Route 43 will be detoured starting today until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
- Route 38 will be detoured starting today at 10 a.m. through Friday, August 30 at 10 a.m.
- Routes 7, 32, 33, 38, 43, 48 and 49 will be detoured from 10 a.m. starting August 30 until 5 a.m. on September 3.
Customized Community Transportation (CCT)
- Request for trips to and from the Made in America Concert will be reserved to the rendezvous point located at 20th and Spring Garden Streets immediately outside the area closed to traffic. This location was established in prior years to drop off and pick up customers who schedule trips within the affected area or to and from the event.
Customer Service Extended Hours & Additional Sales Locations
SEPTA Customer Service Call Center hours will be extended from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, August 31 & September 1. Representatives can be reached by calling (215) 580- 7800. SEPTA’s Social Media Team will also be available from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday to answer customer questions via Twitter at @SEPTA_Social. SEPTA’S customer service office at 1234 Market Street in Center City will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 31.
