Subway Station Cleaning Blitz Continues This Weekend

Maintenance Work At Susquehanna-Dauphin Also Scheduled

Following several successful station cleaning and maintenance blitzes last year SEPTA is continuing the initiative beginning this month and through September on the Broad Street (BSL) and Market-Frankford Lines (MFL).

This weekend’s station cleaning (May 20-22) will be at 13th Street on the Market-Frankford Line. The station will close at 8 pm. On Friday and reopen Monday morning at 5 am The 13th Trolley Station will be accessible during the cleaning blitz. Efforts will focus on cleaning, as well as painting and power washing. Passengers wishing to travel to 13th Street may transfer to a Route 17 or 33 bus on Market Street.

Below are dates and locations for the rest of the blitz:

  • 34th Street Station (MFL) June 17, 18, 19
  • Ellsworth-Federal Station (BSL) June 24, 25, 26
  • Huntingdon Station (MFL) July 29, 30, 31
  • Wyoming Station (BSL) August 5, 6, 7

Maintenance Work At Susquehanna-Dauphin

Also, beginning tomorrow, May 20 at 8 pm. Through the end of service on May 22 all northbound Local trains will bypass Cecil B. Moore, Susquehanna-Dauphin, and Allegheny stations due to platform work at the Susquehanna-Dauphin station on the Broad Street Line. Passengers wishing to travel to those stations may board a shuttle bus at Girard station. Southbound Local service will operate normally.

During the closures, customers can find alternate service at neighboring stations on the Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines, or on nearby bus routes. For trip-planning tools and schedules, please visit www.SEPTA.org.
