Weekend Shuttle Busing Scheduled Along SEPTA’s Media/Elwyn Regional Rail Line

Crews Will be Working to Complete Critical Phase of Crum Creek Viaduct Project

Due to construction on the Crum Creek Viaduct, shuttle buses will replace all train service between Elwyn and Morton Stations on Saturday, June 18, 2016 and Sunday June 19, 2016.

Shuttle buses will continue to operate in place of train service between Elwyn and Swarthmore Stations on Monday, June 20, 2016 and will continue through Sunday, September 4, 2016. As part of the Rebuilding the System Program, SEPTA and third-party forces will work to complete a critical
phase of construction on the new Crum Creek Viaduct in which new track, girders deck and catenary towers will be installed.

June 18-19, 2016

Passengers traveling inbound towards Center City from Elwyn on Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19, will board shuttle buses 28 minutes earlier than regularly scheduled train times. After departing from Elwyn Station, the buses will make stops at Media, Moylan-Rose Valley, Wallingford
and Swarthmore Stations before arriving at Morton Station where passengers will transfer to trains to complete their inbound trips. Trains will depart from Morton Station at regularly scheduled times.

All trains traveling outbound towards Elwyn will depart from Center City Stations at regularly scheduled train times. Trains will travel as far as Morton Station where passengers will transfer from trains to shuttle buses to complete their outbound trips towards Elwyn. Shuttle buses will depart from Morton Station five minutes later than regularly scheduled trains and will travel to Swarthmore, Wallingford, Moylan-Rose Valley, Media and Elwyn Station. Buses will arrive at Elwyn Station 28 minutes later than regularly scheduled train times.

June 20, 2016 through September 4, 2016

Beginning Monday, June 20, 2016, shuttle buses will replace all train service between Elwyn and Swarthmore Stations on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Shuttle buses will operate express service to Swarthmore for customers traveling inbound to Center City from Elwyn on weekdays from 5:16 am until 8:09 am After 8:09 am shuttle buses will
depart from Elwyn Station and make stops at Media, Moylan-Rose Valley, and Wallingford before arriving at Swarthmore Station where passengers will transfer to trains to complete their inbound trips into Center City.

Local shuttle bus service will make stops at Media, Moylan-Rose Valley and Wallingford Stations before arriving at Swarthmore Station where passengers will transfer to trains.

Trains traveling outbound towards Elwyn will travel as far as Swarthmore Station where passengers will transfer to shuttle buses to complete their outbound trips. After departing from Swarthmore Station, shuttle buses will operate local service to Wallingford, Moylan-Rose Valley, Media and
Elwyn Station.
