SEPTA is committed to maintaining a high level of safety for its customers and employees. To ensure a safe environment, SEPTA has expanded its Transit Police presence, including an increase in police bus checks, the installation of cameras on property and inside vehicles, and additional training for employees.
The Authority has implemented a Crime Reward Program to provide another safety measure to encourage citizens to report specific, violent crimes, on SEPTA’s vehicles or property, as outlined below.
Specific incidents will be highlighted on YouTube, social media, and mainstream media in an attempt to gather information that leads to the identification of unknown suspects. Rewards of up to $1,000 may be offered to persons who provide information leading to the identification of the highlighted suspects.
