SEPTA riders can send a text message to get automated information about the next four scheduled trips for any service except Regional Rail and CCT Connect.
How to Subscribe to the Service
- Open the messaging app you normally use.
- Start a new text.
- Type the word septa (all lowercase) as your message.
- Send the message to 41411.
- You will receive a message in response, asking if you want to subscribe.
- Confirm your subscription by texting a Y.
Once you have confirmed your subscription, you can start receiving schedule information by text.
How to Text for a Schedule
- Open the messaging app you normally use.
- Start a new text.
- Type the word septa and the ID number of the stop you are interested in.
- Send the message to 41411.
- You will receive a message in response with information about the next four scheduled trips.
If your stop is served by more than one line and you want details for just one route, add the route designation number or letter to your text.

Returns: the next four scheduled trips for Route 14 at Roosevelt Boulevard and Comly Road, traveling to Frankford Transportation Center.
Message: septa 17842 17
Returns: the next four scheduled trips for Route 17 from the 15th and JFK Boulevard stop.
Find Your Stop ID
SEPTA has assigned unique ID numbers to its stops to help riders more easily find the travel information they need.
Use the Find a Stop tool to get the ID of the stop you want to request schedule information for.
Messaging Rates Apply
The SMS text messaging service for SEPTA transit schedules is available for text messaging plans offered by all major U.S. carriers.
SEPTA does not charge customers for this service. However, text messaging rates charged by your mobile service provider will apply for each text.
