SEPTA is making it easy for Eagles fans to get on the road to the Super Bowl – by hitting the rails.

While the team prepares for its home opener on Sunday, September 20 against the New Orleans Saints, SEPTA is ready to kickoff Sports Express service on the Broad Street Line to get Eagles fans to Lincoln Financial Field.

Sports Express trains will run every 10 minutes starting at 10:10 am, ensuring fans will have plenty of time to get to their seats for the 1 pm. Game. After departing at the Fern Rock Transportation Center, Sports Express trains will stop at Olney, Erie, Girard, Spring Garden, Race-Vine, City Hall and Walnut-Locust, before reaching the Pattison Avenue Station at the Sports Complex in South Philadelphia. Fans taking a Sports Express Train from City Hall will reach Pattison Avenue in about 8 minutes.

A total of 21 Sports Express trains will run on the Broad Street Line prior to the game. That’s in addition to 15 trains providing Local service – giving SEPTA the ability to efficiently deliver thousands of fans to the game. After games, customers will find Express and Local trains waiting for them at Pattison Avenue.

SEPTA will also run additional service on the Market-Frankford Line to accommodate Eagles fans. This provides a quick and easy connection to the Broad Street Line at City Hall. A number of bus and trolley routes also provide convenient connections to the Broad Street Line.

Those coming in on Regional Rail can take advantage of free Sunday parking at most stations, then take trains into Market East or Suburban Stations to connect to the Broad Street Line. From South Jersey, make the trek over the Ben Franklin Bridge on the PATCO High Speed Line, exit at the 12th and 13th and Locust station, then follow the signs in the concourse to the Broad Street Line.

SEPTA wants to make the trip to the game convenient for all fans, including those who might be riding for the first time. To assist customers, SEPTA will dispatch additional personnel to stations on game days.

SEPTA’s service isn’t just an easy way for Eagles fans to get to the game, it’s also economical.

By purchasing a two-pack of tokens, fans can get to and from the game on the Broad Street Line for just $2.90. One-way cash fare is $2.

For those making transfers from Regional Rail and other services to the Broad Street Line, SEPTA’s Independence Pass offers unlimited one-day travel on all services at a big savings. An Individual Independence Pass is just $10, while a family of five can travel together for just $25 with the Family Independence Pass. Also, SEPTA customers with weekly and monthly TransPasses and TrailPasses can use their passes for game day travel.

Throughout the season, SEPTA will give away 10 Family Independence Passes and 10 Individual Independence Passes during pre-game shows on the Eagles Radio Network (94.1 FM WYSP, 610 AM WIP).
