NRG Offers Free Rides Home on SEPTA’s Broad Street Line from Eagles-Cowboys Game Sunday, Nov. 11

Energy provider NRG and SEPTA are partnering to offer sports fans free rides home from NRG Station on the Broad Street Line after the Eagles-Cowboys game on Nov. 11. The Broad Street Line serves Lincoln Financial Field and other venues at the Sports and Entertainment Complex in South Philadelphia.

Free rides from NRG Station will begin at 9:30 pm and end at 1:30 am Kickoff at the Linc is 8:20 pm. The Free Rides Program is aimed at offering a safe and convenient post-game travel option for fans. Please note: Regular fares will apply for all Broad Street Line travel to the game.

“Because NRG has such a strong partnership with both the Eagles and SEPTA, we are excited to join forces to provide football fans a safe and hassle free ride home,” said Mike Starck, Vice President and General Manager of NRG Retail East Division. “Since the naming of NRG Station, we have met thousands of commuters, many of whom are our customers, and of course, most are Eagles fans. We look forward to a great game and a great night.”

SEPTA will add service for the game. A total of 12 Sports Express trains will be added on the Broad Street Line to supplement regularly scheduled service. Sports Express service will run every 10 minutes starting at 5:05 pm. Fans will also find Local and Express trains waiting for them at NRG Station after the game.

The Broad Street Line provides convenient service to Eagles games and other big events for riders throughout the region. There is a free transfer to the Broad Street Line from the Market-Frankford Line and City Trolley routes at 15th Street/City Hall, and it is just a short walk from Regional Rail stations in Center City. It also connects to bus routes that provide service throughout the city and region, and it’s easily accessible from the PATCO High Speed Line for riders from South Jersey.

To speed their trips to the game, SEPTA riders are encouraged to load funds on a SEPTA Key card before their travel, or purchase a one-way Quick Trip ticket for travel to NRG Station. For more information about the SEPTA Key, visit www.septa.org/key.
