SEPTA to Close Woodland Avenue Monday for Trolley Line Improvements

As part of a scheduled track replacement project SEPTA will close Woodland Avenue between 58th Street and 60th Street in Southwest Philadelphia beginning at 7 am Monday, February 28, through April 15, 2022.

During the 24/7 closure, vehicular traffic will be restricted in the work areas and motorists will be directed to use 58th Street, Kingsessing Avenue and 60th Street. Vehicular parking will not be permitted in the construction zone or adjacent to the tracks being reconstructed, however pedestrian access will be arranged to businesses open during construction. Emergency vehicles and trash collection, along with city utilities will continue to have access. All side streets in the affected construction areas will be closed to thru traffic. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. This operation is weather dependent.

Detours

Bus Route G will be detoured, and the Route 11 Trolley will be converted to bus for the entire route – Darby Transportation Center to 40th Street Portal.

Normal construction hours are Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm with occasional weekend work as needed.
